In addition to being an award-winning visual artist, Calderón is also a sought-after curator of both private collectors and public exhibitions. He has curated and installed exhibitions for the U.S. Embassy in Peru, the Peruvian Presidential Palace, the International Fair of the Pacific, the International Biennial of Trujillo, Creative Liaisons, the Beaumont Foundation-Children's Miracle Network and the Creative Art Center.
In 1999, Calderón began collaborating with two other artists to work on site-specific installations and performance art. The group, named “Dialoguistas,” is gaining national and international recognition with museums and galleries-including an installation at the Museum of Modern Art in Croatia.
As a solo artist, Calderón continues proving his multifaceted talent by creating mixed-media sculptures, wall reliefs, sculptural furniture, jewelry and drawings.
